Dr. Hedden is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he majored in sculpting and anatomy. He earned his medical doctorate from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and completed residencies at Louisiana State University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Hedden is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), American College of Surgeons, Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, American Medical Association, Jefferson Medical Association, Southern Medical Association and Alabama Medical Association. Dr. R. Lee England is a native of Nashville, Tenn., and attended the University of Tennessee, where he graduated cum laude and earned three varsity letters as a wide receiver on the Tennessee Volunteers football team. He received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, where he graduated cum laude. Dr. England completed an internship in surgery at the University of Kentucky and continued his surgical training at Vanderbilt Medical Center and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. During his time in private practice, Dr. England successfully established a series of hospital surgical programs to provide much-needed care for underserved areas. Kay Ellen Willoughby, M.D.
Dr. Kay Ellen Willoughby is a native of Jacksonville, Ala., and a graduate of Auburn University. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and performed an internship in Memphis, Tenn., focusing on primary care medicine, plastic surgery and dermatology. Following her fellowship, Dr. Willoughby worked as a research physician in the field of dermatology at Schering-Plough Pharmaceutical Company, in Memphis. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine. Since her family's move to Birmingham in 1998, Dr. Willoughby has worked in primary care medicine with a specific focus in dermatology.
